A range of Vocational Education and Training courses have been developed to cater for Year 11 and 12 students who wish to directly enter the workforce during or after Senior years, or who wish to enhance their course load with a practical subject.


The College offers the following Certificates:

  • CPC10111 Certificate I in Construction
  • BSB20112 Certificate II in Business
  • MEM10105 Certificate I in Engineering
  • SIT20213 Certificate II in Hospitality
  • SIS30313 Certificate III in Fitness

Students’ programs can also be broadened through access to courses offered by other Registered Training Organisations (private providers as well as TAFE colleges). This gives students an opportunity to access courses outside of the College.

Immersion Programme for Construction and Hospitality

Students have the option to complete a double course in Construction or Hospitality.

CPC10111 Certificate I in Construction

  • 1st Strand = 7 periods per two weeks
  • 2nd Strand = Doorways to Construction Program – an extra 7 periods per two weeks (conditions apply ie students need to do the Immersion programme one day a ten day cycle and complete the mandatory 160 hours of work placement. This may necessitate holiday work

SIT20212 Certificate II in Hospitality

  • 1st Strand = 7 periods per two weeks
  • 2nd Strand = 14 periods total per two weeks. Hospitality Immersion is dependent on functions and days may vary.

School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships

Students can work and train towards a recognised qualification while completing their school studies. Generally, if a student is enrolled in the Non-OP course, he will be allotted one day per week to work in his apprenticeship with the balance spent completing school studies. If he is enrolled in the OP course, other models do exist and these are dependent on the employer, College, student and parent negotiations
